Admission requirements
Mandatory to pass an international competitive exam (known as IMAT, International Medical Admission Test), whose specifics are defined by the Italian Ministry of Education, University, and Research (MIUR).
Students admitted to the degree in Medicine and Surgery must also demonstrate knowledge of English at level B2 or above - between 5.5 and 6.5.
If an academic proficiency exam is required in your country in order to access University education, the same exam will be required for admission into Italian universities as well.

IMAT
For Degree programmes of Medicine and Surgery, Dental Medicine and Veterinary Medicine, the instructions are described in the call for application that is published in May / June.
It is required to pay a fee upon registration - 130 euro.
The exam consists of 60 questions (10 culture, 10 logic, 15 biologies, 15 chemistry, 10 physics, and maths) and 5 answer options;
1.5 points for the correct answer,
-0.4 for wrong, 0 points for no answer. The time for the exam is 100 minutes.
Registration for this exam usually start in the second half of the month of July / August. The test takes place simultaneously in all Italian universities that offer an English-taught degree program in Medicine and Surgery, as well as in testing sites around the world.
The test does not require a lot of extra study as it is a test of skills and knowledge that learners are expected to have already.
In October, candidates will be able to view their answer form, scores and personal data.
